Veteran U.S. Navy Seal Dom Raso offers some tough truths to American firearm owners on a trending NRA video: Liberals want to take away your guns.
Raso runs through a pro shooting display, explaining why anti-gun zealots are not being truthful about each weapon’s abilities, design and the gun control debate. He says that politicians just want to “hold up the scariest guns they can find and outright lie about their capabilities in order to appear reasonable to people that just don’t’ know any better. The truth is, they want to ban every gun in America. It’s just not politically savvy to admit it.”
Whether spurred on by the truth-telling of people like this Navy Seal or the grotesque manipulation of the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting survivors, liberals have come clean. They are finally admitting that they just want to take away all guns.
John Paul Stevens: The “Benedict Arnold” Of Supreme Court Justices
Touting the young people who participated in the March for Our Lives protests, retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens penned an opinion piece that the Second Amendment should be repealed.
Considered a turncoat who promoted himself as a conservative, Stevens became a liberal darling on the high court. He voted to strip religious schools of state funding, which Justice Neil Gorsuch recently helped to restore. Stevens also favored stifling Christian voices in public schools, and has consistently embraced anti-gun sentiments. The conservative movement’s “Benedict Arnold” has dragged the truth about the left’s hatred of self-reliant, gun-owning Americans into the light.
“These demonstrations demand our respect,” he said. “They reveal the broad public support for legislation to minimize the risk of mass killings of schoolchildren and others in our society.”
“That support is a clear sign to lawmakers to enact legislation prohibiting civilian ownership of semiautomatic weapons, increasing the minimum age to buy a gun from 18 to 21 years old, and establishing more comprehensive background checks on all purchasers of firearms. But the demonstrators should seek more effective and more lasting reform. They should demand a repeal of the Second Amendment.”
He goes on to make a series of ridiculous and contradictory claims such as the Second Amendment is really just meant to give rights to a “well-regulated militia,” and he even calls that a “relic of the 18th century.” The former judge skips over the part where the “militia” wasn’t there to save the slain in Parkland, Columbine, Sandy Hook or others. But in Maryland, a well-trained police officer took down a school shooter in under 60 seconds using a semi-automatic handgun. Regardless of the fact that many liberal activists are still lying, at least they have been outed about wanting to take your guns, all guns.
Public Rejects Liberal Anti-Gun Politics
If ever there was a moment when liberal politicians had the opportunity to go after all guns, this would seem to be it.
Misled children flooded streets in support of gun bans, many not knowing the difference between a semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun. The anti-gun propaganda went viral on social media and the left-leaning news outlets promoted that agenda. Despite that apparent wave of support, liberals will need to resign themselves with going after the bump stocks and guns owned by seniors for now. That’s because Americans have rejected the notion of repealing the Second Amendment.
In a recent Gallup study, nearly 80 percent of Americans polled are against repealing the Second Amendment. More than 90 percent of Republicans rejected the idea, and 84 percent of Independents. Democrats, however, ranked as the largest group in favor of ending all gun rights, with 39 percent saying they would go as far as stripping the Second Amendment from the U.S. Constitution.
